The following specialists are working in the laboratory: Head of Laboratory Dr. G. Danukalova (stratigraphy, malacology), a Leading Researcher Dr. A. Yakovlev (theriology), Senior Researcher Dr. E. Danukalova has been working at the Institute of Geology of the Ufa Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences since 1981.
1981 – Graduated from the Faculty of Geography (Department of Geology and Geomorphology), Bashkirian State University.
1985-1990 – Target postgraduate course at the Palaeontological Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (Moscow), the thesis topic is «Bivalve molluscs and stratigraphy of the Akchagylian» (headed by Dr. L.A. Neveskaya).
1990 – Defense of the thesis for the degree of candidate of geological and mineralogical sciences at the Palaeontological Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow).
1994 – Awarded the title of Senior Researcher.
Since 2006 – Head of the Laboratory of the Cenozoic Geology.
2000-2012 – Work in Bashkirian State University in the post of associate professor of the Department of Geology and Geomorphology of the Faculty of Geography.
Since 2001 she participates in the work of the children’s and young geological movement of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
Her interests – biostratigraphy of the Neogene and Quaternary, marine, terrestrial and freshwater molluscs of the region, adjacent territories and Europe, propagation of the paleontological knowledge.
239 publications: 12 monographs, 41 papers in the refereed journals, 91 papers in the Scientific Proceedings, 80 abstracts of the International, All-Russian and Regional conferences, 11 papers in the Bashkirian Encyclopedia, 4 preprints, 16 unbublished scientific reports in the Geological Survey Library (see general reference list of the Lab).

Yakovlev has been working at the Institute of Geology of the Ufa Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences since 1983.
1980 – Graduated from the Faculty of Biology (Department of Zoology), Bashkirian State University.
1982-1986 – extramural postgraduate course at the Institute of Geology, Ufimian scientific centre Bashkirian branch, USSR Academy of sciences (Ufa), the topic “Pleistocene and Holocene small mammals of the Bashkirian Fore-Urals and western slope of the Southern Urals” (headed by Professor Dr. V.L.Yakchemovich and a Corresponding member of RAS Dr. N.G.Smirnov).
1997 – Defense of the thesis for the degree of candidate of biological sciences at the Institute of Ecology of plants and animals of the Uralian Scientific Department RAS (Ekaterinburg).
Since 2000 he works in Bashkirian State University as an Associate Professor of the Department of Zoology of the Faculty of Biology.
2007 – Awarded the title of Associate Professor.
Since 2003 he participates in the training, preparation and holding of the Republican Biological Olympiad of schoolchildren.
Since 2008 he is a member of the regional expert commission of the Unified State Exam on Biology.
His interests – Neopleistocene and Holocene small mammals of the region and adjacent territories, fishing.

Osipova has been working at the Institute of Geology of the Ufa Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences since 1998.
2002 – Graduated from the Faculty of Nature and Geography (Department of Zoology), Bashkirian State Pedagogical University.
2003 – 2007 – competitor, the topic of the Thesis was “Pleistocene and Holocene molluscs of the Souther-Uralian region” (headed by Dr. G. Danukalova).
2009 – Defense of the thesis for the degree of Candidate of geological and mineralogical sciences at the Palaeontological Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow).
Since 2012 – Work in Bashkirian State University in the post of Associate Professor of the Chair of Geology and Geomorphology of the Faculty of Geography.
Her interests – Quaternary marine, terrestrial and freshwater molluscs of the region, adjacent territories and Europe.

Senior Researcher
Dr. R. Kurmanov

Kurmanov has been working at the Institute of Geology of the Ufa Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences since 2010.
2007 – Graduated from the Nature-Technical Faculty (Department of Botany), Sibai Institute of the Bashkiran State University.
2007 – 2010 – postgraduate course at the Bashkirian State University, the topic of the thesis is “Melissopalynological analysis of the honey resources of the Shulgan-Tash Reserve” (headed by Dr. A.R. Ishbirdin).
2010 – Defense of the thesis for the degree of candidate of biological sciences at the Bashkirian State University (Ufa).
2010-2012 he worked in Bashkirian State University as an Associate Professor of the Chair of Botany of the Faculty of Biology
Kurmanov is a member of the Russian Botanival Society and Russian Palynologucal Group.
His interests – Neogene and Quaternary palynology, pollen analysis of the products of beekeeping: beehive and honey, pergi.

Engineer E. Kondrova

Kondrova has been working at the Institute of Geology of the Ufa Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences since 2017.
She is engaged in the analysis and design of the collections and processing of research materials.
